AM1: Framed Number Lithograph by Israeli Painter Ben Avram
This lovely framed number lithograph was purchased in Israel in July 2009. Ben Avram is a well-known, widely sought-after Israeli painter. He is a Jerusalem artist whose work is infused with the distinctive atmosphere of that unique city. His works are included in important collections in the United States, Canada, Israel, Panama, Mexico, Brazil, France, England, Switzerland and Germany.

AM2: Art donation from Janet Lipkin
This beautiful piece was made by well-known artist and Tehiyah teacher Janet Lipkin, one of the leaders of the Artwear movement.

AM3: Monoprint from Elizabeth Addison
Elizabeth Addison is an award-winning printmaker and installation artist. Her monoprints involve layers of meanings with the use of depth and complexity masquerading as something much simpler. She is drawn to intense color and iconic images from the past — many are from 1930’s to 1950’s era advertisements and publications or old family photos.

AM4: Photograph by Guggenheim Fellowship Winners Ken Graves and Eva Lipman
This is a beautiful black-and-white photograph of two young women holding hands and dancing at their high school prom. It has been exhibited at the New York Museum of Modern Art, and is in the collection at the Brooklyn Museum.

AM6: Collage by Guggenheim Fellowship Winner Ken Graves
This gorgeous collage portrays two dancers embracing. In his mixed-media collages, culled from popular culture journals dating from the ‘30’s to the ‘50’s, Ken Graves throws a monkey wrench into the visual mythmaking machinery that perpetuates the American dream by manipulating the very images that create and sustain it. Ken Graves is influenced by surrealism and works in the tradition of Joseph Cornell.

AM7: Painting by Heidi Berrin Shonkoff
This sensuous abstract painting, mixed media on archival paper, titled Roots 1 by Heidi Berrin Shonkoff would be a wonderful addition to your collection. Heidi Berrin Shonkoff studied watercolor and life drawing at UC Berekeley and cites international exhibited painter Christine Peirano as a major influence.

Her work has been inspired by native pre-Columbian cultures. She has brought their designs and symbolism to her pieces, keeping their legacy, but connecting them to the present by abstracting composition elements that make her work truly unique.
