About Tehiyah Day School

Tehiyah is a Jewish community day school committed to serving a diverse student body of 270 students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Committed to fostering tolerance within our community, Tehiyah encourages understanding of all Jewish traditions, and is not affiliated with any denomination or movement. Our school was founded in 1979 by a group of parents who set as their goal the renewal of our children’s connection and commitment to our heritage while, at the same time, promoting high scholastic achieve¬ment in general studies. Accordingly, Tehiyah structures its programs to promote four basic goals: excellence in general studies (math, science, and humanities); depth of Judaic experience, coupled with a working knowledge of Hebrew; appreciation of the visual and performing arts and integration of computer use as appropriate; and the inclusion of middot (Jew¬ish ethics and values) as an integral part of the curriculum.
